recently we were shopping at an upscale mall with lots of nice and expensive stores. we step into design within reach (a furniture store which is actually not quite within the reach of the tinkers...aka VERY expensive). so, we walk in and start looking around...all 5 of us. i'm trying to act slightly fancy and cool when lena blurts out "hey, is this the goodwill?" um...no.

umm, reminds me of shopping for shoes with someone, who announced to the sales person that her mom paid her "rent" for her room of .35 cents per week, so that her mom could care for other kids, and that she had saved up the princely sum of $10 for her own shoes!
