Trip to the falls

With Tio Nick and Melissa.

Face paint!

Little Tinker critters...

Is it because he's a boy?

"I can pour my own syrup!" Hmm... Can you even see the pancakes? And yes, he's wearing his sister's shirt.

Must have knee pads and elbow pads on. And spider man boots. And Lena's pink leopard print hat. Along with our...underpants. For playing in the front yard, of course.

Helping dad knock out a closet...

Or is Lena just posing?? Hard to say.

Summer...can you feel it?

Eli had an overnight with his nonni and bompa, and got quite the workout.

A little basketball, a little baseball and of course a little hot tub to wind down ;)

Oklahoma 2009

Headline: It was HOT!

Lena fully dressed in her Osage regalia for the first time this year (thank you auntie Randy!). Here she is with her cousin. She did a great job dancing, by the end of the four days she had it down.

Can you see Stella and Eli on opposite sides of the play structure both climbing up? I just liked the symmetry.

We had an early birthday party for E and S, and Eli got a fiddle from his great auntie and uncle that he loves! Doesn't he look like a pro?

New Mexico!

Some photos of the kiddos on their trip with dad to see Chris' parents.

Lots of water play. And the bridge where they are all standing is where Chris proposed to me. He took the kids to show them the spot. (Sure do love him.)

Things we learn from older siblings, and more.

We're putting in some new raised beds, which involves buying stinky chicken manure. I come home from work and Stella announces:

"That's chicken poop mom. It smells disgusting."

Any thoughts on where she picked that up? I'm thinking big sis. It sounds really funny when a 2 1/2 year old says it.

In other news...
Elijah somehow managed to pee in my eye last night. Potty training gone awry. We were trying to use the big potty (sitting down) and I was holding him up so he wouldn't fall in. Apparently a random rule of physics involving angles, velocity, and legs held too tightly together must have come into play...Elijah found it quite hysterical and started laughing like crazy and said..."I'm sorry mom. I didn't mean to pee on your cheek" (yeah, it hit my cheek too).
